Deborah Ann Smith, 50, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008. She was born September 24, 1957 to John A. Thompson and the late Patricia A. Bright in Indianapolis, IN. Deborah is survived by her sister, Sheri L. Lundsford (husband Brian); three brothers, John C. Thompson, Kurt Thompson, David Thompson; and step-mother, Rosalie Thompson. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Faith Community Church, 5151 W. US Hwy 52, New Palestine, at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 28th, with Loren Robinson officiating.

I am truly sorry for your loss. If this is the same Deborah (Dee) Smith I knew and worked with, she was quite a character. Did she work at Jenn-Air (at 30th and Shadeland in Indpls.) and IPT (in Greenfield, IND.) ? If so, she tried to act tough but deep down inside she had a heart of gold. She was a good friend and I knew and worked with her at both places. If this is the Dee Smith I knew, I would hope to hear from someone to ease my mind and heart. I will miss her and am glad I knew her. If this is her everyone she talked about was…”old girl” and I will smile and always remember her when I say that line. If I have made a mistake I am sorry, but she always talked about her sister and brothers and the names are the same. Thank you for listening. And my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Deborah’s family. Deborah and I were roommates back in 1980-1982.
She was a very great friend to me and a very compassionate person.
We had lost touch over the years. She was a great friend to me, and
many others.
